Inventions that changed the world. Internet

On August 6, 1991 Tim Berners-Lee opened the world’s first website info.cern.ch. The description of the WWW functioning and the reference guide on browsers and web-services were published on the site. Even now you can visit this site and see everything the way it was originally. At first Internet was a project of the US Department of Defence. The American military delegated its development to several universities. As a result the APRANET, the predecessor of the Internet, was created and on October 29, 1969 the first message was sent from one network node to another.
