Victoria Yemelianova, Head of Department for Protection of Industrial Property Objects, LEXPATENT LLC, Patent Attorney of the Republic of Belarus and Eurasian Patent Attorney, delivered a speech at the XI Belarusian Forum of Corporate Lawyers held on 20 October 2023.

Within the framework of the panel session "Intellectual Property Disputes: Case Analysis - 2023" Victoria presented a real case of infringement of rights to a patent for a pharmaceutical substance, whose right holder was represented by our company’s patent attorneys, and outlined the approaches used by the Board of Appeals and the Supreme Court in determining the "inventive step" criterion of patentability. She also spoke about the evidence that can be used in disputes on patent infringement and patent invalidation as well as the specifics of commissioning a patent examination.
