Svetlana Koroliova, Director of LEXPATENT LLC, participated in the World Congress of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI)

Svetlana Koroliova, Director of LEXPATENT LLC, participated in the World Congress of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI)*, which was held this year on 22-25 October in Istanbul. The Congress gathered about 2,000 participants from 69 countries. One of the most important outcomes of the congress was the formulation of resolutions on:

  • patents: doctrine of equivalents (see the resolution here);
  • trademarks: proving trademark use (see the resolution here);
  • copyright: collecting societies (see the resolution here);
  • responsibility of online marketplaces for online infringement of industrial property rights (see the resolution here).

 The resolutions are aimed at improving national legislations and shaping practices in line with global trends in intellectual property.
