LEXPATENT LLC at the International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies TIBO-2024.
The round table "Intellectual Property and Information Technologies" of the VII Belarusian ICT Summit at the XXX International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies TIBO-2024 was held on 6 June 2024.
Darya Lando, Head of Legal Department, was invited as a speaker representing LEXPATENT LLC.
The round table included 3 thematic sessions. Darya delivered a speech within the first session "Legal regulation in software and video game development and use. Licence, user and other agreements. Open source licensing and free software. Due diligence in software development". In her speech, Darya showcased the existing options of legal protection of software, the advantages of and issues arising from depositing computer programmes, the specifics of exercising the exclusive right to this intellectual property, the implications arising from the lack of legal support in software development, as well as tax exemptions crucial for right holders.
