On April 23, 2026, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus hosted the International Seminar "Technological Trends and Their Role in Sports Development: Issues of Intellectual Property Rights Protection," dedicated to World Intellectual Property Day.

The seminar was attended by Svetlana Koroliova, Director of LEXPATENT LLC and Patent Attorney of the Republic of Belarus, and Darya Lando, Head of the company's Legal Department.

The event addressed issues concerning the disposal of intellectual property rights in the field of sports, mechanisms for the commercial use of these assets, and the protection of rights in the context of sports media coverage. Additionally, discussions covered the specifics of copyright in sports, franchising, sponsorship agreements, licensing of intellectual property rights by sports clubs to their partners, and other related topics.

Svetlana Koroliova, as a member of the competition jury, participated in the award ceremony for the winners of the social advertising contest "Create. Invent. Implement. 2025."

Darya Lando served as one of the seminar's experts, delivering a presentation entitled "Intellectual Property and Sports: From Question to Solution." During her presentation, while strictly adhering to confidentiality requirements, she reviewed a number of sports-related matters raised by clients and provided a brief overview of the successful outcomes achieved through consultations with LEXPATENT’s patent attorneys in resolving these issues.

Furthermore, during the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) award ceremony, Darya Lando was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the NCIP for her contribution to implementing state policy in the field of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.

Congratulations to Darya and our entire team!
